The Mutant Typology Test
I had a nice surprise yesterday – a special Halloween email from Shelley Jackson. Shelley Jackson, for those of you who do not know, is the author of several books. Her latest is “Half Life,” but I met her through the creation of her work, “Skin.” Skin is a living book, because each of the words in the book has been tattooed on the body of a volunteer. My word is “you.” The book font I choose for my tattoo is Garamond.
Shelley’s message included an invitation to take my own “Mutant Typology Test” which I did with interesting results! Anyway, here was her message: “It’s a good night for monsters. With Mutatits Mutandis, the Major Terata, the Siamystics, the Togetherists, the RadioActivists, and The League of Mutant Voters, I would like to wish you a happy Halloween, and remind you: Some of us hide it, some of us flaunt it, but we’re all mutants.
