My new t-shirt from Call to Action.
Years ago, one of the best publicity/consciousness-raising tools CCL had was a business card that stated: “You have just met a Catholic lesbian.” I can’t remember the rest, but it certainly elicited response!
I hope this t-shirt does, too.

Mary, I was sorry to miss meeting you at CTA this year. Next year, for sure! I plan to wear the t-shirt around town, as well as the NY Lesbian and Gay Community Center. I bet I get more negative comments at the gay community center then I do anywhere else! It’s a wonderful consciousness raising tool; wearing it is also more than a little scary, since I know at least some reaction will be negative. I consider it part of my obligation as a liberal Catholic not to be closeted!, and as a Catholic lesbian to reach out to others with the need to fight with a reconciled heart. Take good care, Karen
