Personal Balance

I am planning to finish LCSW at the beginning of January and have our web master put it in Archives on this site. I have had a wonderful time writing this blog. It really functioned as my witness as a Catholic lesbian.

Writing helped me to become more spontaneous, because often the post I ended up writing wasn’t the one I originally planned to do. That alone made me feel the hand of the Spirit.

Growing does mean changing, and now I want to do something that focuses more on politics and less on my personal stories.

-Nihilobstat.info will replace Lesbian in a Catholic Sort of Way. This blog will report Vatican and diocesan statements on gay and lesbian human rights. It will also cover some of the more influential Catholic bloggers as they comment on these issues.

-I’m developing a new blog separate from this site called Green Canticle. This blog will center on Catholics and the environment. It will prominently feature the USCCB’s Environmental Justice Program, “Caring for God’s Creation,” and all the diocesan links I can locate. I ultimately plan to include the voting records of Catholic members of Congress and the NY State Legislature on conservation and environmental protection.

-Contribute a weekly post to Seasons of the Spirit. Either the day’s reading, a quirky saint, or a reflection from the day’s Liturgy of the Hours.

-Set up a discussion area on the new Community Forum dedicated to Sor Juana de la Cruz. I would like to see it function as a wiki and gather as many English-language resources about her as possible.
