An Anonymous Individual
An anonymous individual in Wikipedia, “DominsVobiscvm,” attempted to link the parish and college listings in CCLonline to his or her allegations that Archbishop Favalora and the Archdiocese of Miami are involved in a “vast gay underground” involving up to 80% of the diocese’s priests!
The use of the links to the CCL site was a thinly veiled attempt to prove how “gay-friendly” the diocese is, thereby lending credibility to the rest of their entry entitled “Gay Sex Scandals” which focused on pedophilia cases in the diocese.
Much of the offending entry has been removed, either by Wikipedia or another editor. When he was edited in the past DominsVobiscvm usually restored the material within a day or two. DominsVobiscvm has not responded to requests by Wikipedia or the other individuals, myself included, to mediate the issue. Since the attempt at mediation among the different parties was unsuccessful, it is now going to a formal arbitration.
The pattern with DominsVobiscvm follows along the same traditionalist formula I’ve observed before–they are not interested in dialogue or reconciliation; they are just interested in getting their way, no matter who they trample over in the process.
