Keep an Eye on the Nanny

News item from the 3/22/06 edition of the New York Post, Page Six: “Jann Wenner (publisher of Rolling Stone magazine) likes to keep things all in the family. Wenner won’t say who is bearing the baby he and his boyfriend, Matt Nye, are expecting, but insiders say it’s a member of Nye’s family. “The sperm is from Jann and it is Matt’s sister carrying the baby, so the baby will be part of both of them,” our insider said. A rep for Wenner sniffed, “Absolutely false.” The situation is eerily reminiscent of when Annie Leibovitz was impregnanted–allegedly with the sperm of the son of her partner, the late Susan Sontag. Leibovitz later left Sontag for the nanny. Note to Nye: Don’t hire a male nanny.”
